Aaah, messages these are why I keep making and sharing all of my dumb drawings. I know they’re not amazing works of art or anything, but as long as they make other people happy or laugh, that’s enough for me!
Wow, that was cheesy, hahaha. But I mean it! Anyhoo, thank you for the message! You made my day so much better. I snooped through your profile and saw you liked Supernatural, so here is a Dean doodle ALL FOR YOU:

My Bamboo Fun lasted me all through college - great tablet! It’s a bit dated now, though. You could probably buy something newer for cheaper. The Bamboo Connect is only $80 new, for instance. No buttons/mouse, but using a mouse on these always felt… really awkward anyway.
If you want something even cheaper, don’t be scared of refurbished tablets! Just a quick search and I found a Wacom for $55 with some pretty good reviews. Again, nothing fancy, but you don’t really need fancy when you’re first starting out. All the extra buttons and doodads are nice, but they aren’t necessary. Some people even prefer a smaller tablet over the massive, pricey ones!
I just bought a new Cintiq so I can’t… really talk, haha. If anyone has any other suggestions (or experience with the new Bamboo line) let me know!
They are out there, Anon! If they are anything like me, they are just… probably busy on the internet. But I know there are plenty of cutie patootie nerdy chicks on Tumblr, so they exist! Hang in there, my friend.

Ha! Jokes on you! Satyrs are never females! (Am I trolling it right?)

My coworker left early today, which means I am alone in the office. This can mean only one thing:
AWKWARD OFFICE CHAIR DANCING

Aw, thank you!
HMMM. I tend to get really excited about art books and buy them and then… never actually have time to look at them, haha. I can dig through my stack later and post a few of the ones I think could be helpful. One day I will use them. One day.
What I generally find works best for me, though, is looking at other artists’ work. Like how they color? Use textures? Draw noses? Try it for yourself! There’s no shame in emulating bits and pieces of another artist’s style, as long as you aren’t blatantly copying them. I’m always picking up new tips/techniques just by going through my Dash. Just don’t fall into the “wow this person is so cool I will never be as good as them boohoohoo” rut. Like I do. Frequently.

I keep trying to test out the new Fan Mail feature by sending myself messages like the totally not lame person I am, but it just makes my page freeze.
Now the button’s not even in my inbox anymore.
I broke everything.
