I went to the University of Central Florida and have a BA for the Digital Media Visual Language program (quite the mouthful). The main focus was on creating a 5 minute, 3D movie from concept to fully rendered animation. So not really your typical art school - though it did help me figure out my love for concept art/storyboarding. And my hate for animation. And Maya, haha.

And how I got my job, oh boy. First, I applied everywhere. Like, unpaid internships everywhere. For months. And I still got turned down each time. Or got no responses at all. I hate to tell ya, but connections and being in the right place at the right time help a lot. An acquaintance (a totally cool kid named Kevin) told my boyfriend they were looking for a Flash artist at a super tiny studio he was working at. I applied, they were desperate, I got the job a day later, haha.
